The Conflict

Men should never be conflicted on technology. Ever. Men just know what they want and they go in and get it and then get the hell out of the shopping mall. Yet, when it comes to Windows 7 and Google Chrome, this is where it get complicated. You see, we like the thought of turning on our television and flipping between channels until we're satisfied with what we're watching. Point and flip. So easy, a caveman can do it.

With Windows 7 and Google Chrome OS, our heads are filled with billions of questions and it will not stop. We become women, like them, we start thinking, "does he like me, does he not like me, does he like me, does he not like me..." and it goes on and on. Do we prefer complicated and sophisticated software? Or do we prefer simple and instant information? It depends on the guy. The couch potato loves sitting and flipping through the channels would love Google Chrome OS. You just turn it on and like magic, pleasure is right in front of your tube. Television or monitor, hell, does it matter anymore?

Prefer complicated and sophisticated? No problems. We got Windows 7. Turn it on. Watch it dazzle you as it load for the next three minutes to get you to the desktop, that is, with your favorite desktop picture that will kill your memory to pieces. Then, load up ten different software programs to get your juices running. Twitter the world your lonely aspirations. Seriously, who want to know that what your dog is doing at the moment,
"I love how my dog sat on my lap and stayed starring at me ^.^ his eyes are so cute." _Katyx3
Cute?  Depends on the kind of dog you have. Nevertheless, you got Google Desktop, Windows Media (you still use that?), AIM, Twitterrfic, Microsoft Words, and your IE (but we can bet that most clients use Mozilla atm) running on your laptop. Kinda cool eh? Only if you're complicated and sophisticated. With men, *cough*, there's only so few of them left. We, men, love our simplicity. Why? Because we know that it will drive our women incredibly insane! Ladies, we love you, but we know how often you love to take over the world.

We, men, are obsessed with speed. We love drivng our ladies as fast as we can and we love playing race-car driving games. Such obsession is gratifying. As Google Blog simply states,
Most of all, we are obsessed with speed. We are taking out every unnecessary process, optimizing many operations and running everything possible in parallel. This means you can go from turning on the computer to surfing the web in a few seconds. Our obsession with speed goes all the way down to the metal. We are specifying reference hardware components to create the fastest experience for Google Chrome OS.
Yet some men are quite complicated and *cough*  sophisticated. The geeks, the nerds, the zombies that never sleep, we all know what you guys prefer: less annoying products. That's where Windows 7 comes in. And boy, is the timing perfect or what?  You see, complicated and sophisticated guys get annoyed real easy. Why? Don't ask me. Ego? Intelligence? Organization? Whatever it is, complicated and sophisticated guys just get annoyed. Guess what? Windows 7 takes that all away.

According to Jack Schofield who writes for the Guardian wrote:
The most obvious difference is that Windows 7 doesn't keep annoying you with prompts — though it's also true that the latest version of Vista is much less annoying than the original. In fact, you can set the degree of annoyance on a sliding scale, though reducing it increases the risk of security breaches. However, Windows 7 is vastly more secure than XP and, in any case, the threat landscape has changed since XP was trashed by worms such as Blaster and Slammer. Today, the more important security changes are in the Internet Explorer 8 browser which, uniquely, defends against cross-site scripting.
So which are you? Simple or complicated?

If you're simple, then Google Chrome OS is the product of your dreams.

If you're complicated, then Windows 7 is the product of your dreams. (it's already got a complicated history)
