This is why I dislike taxi drivers. Even most people distrust them. 

This is also why I love public transit. Flat fare. Plus you know what you're paying every time you get on a bus or train.

Passengers were not shocked by officials' report that thousands of drivers gouged millions of dollars by setting taxi meters at too high a rate.
