Football Weekend!

ducks The most memorable memory of watching this weekend football is watching the Oregon Ducks roll over Tennessee (48-13). This game proves that a Pac-10 deserves to be in a national championship. What is most impressive about the Oregon Ducks is how significantly well they have played and, of course, statistically well!
AP New reports that,
In two games, Oregon's explosive offense has piled up 1,167 yards, and the fifth-ranked Ducks (2-0) have scored 120 points on scores by the offense, defense and special teams. The two-game averages of 583.5 yards and 60 points ranks Oregon second in the nation in both categories.

Perhaps more impressive than the offensive statistics is the way the Ducks have concentrated their production in just two halves of play. They scored 45 consecutive points in the final 33 minutes of a 48-13 win over Tennessee (1-1) on Saturday. They scored 59 points in the first half of a 72-0 win over New Mexico in the season opener.
In other words, I just can’t wait to see the next couples of games and see where Oregon goes. This team has so much potential!

As for NFL, I must say that I really enjoyed the Arizona vs. Ram game. Sure, mistakes were made, but each team did not give up. It was ugly, but for sure, we can bet that the teams will be way better by mid-season.

My biggest disappointment was how badly Oakland Raiders and SF 49ers trailed badly in the game. Both teams had no tempo, no organization, and just wither through the mud the entire game. For the SF 49ers, the first period was pretty good, but after that, just mistake after mistake. Plus, Seattle figured out how to hold Gore to a mere 38 yards on 17 carries. Just think, if every team figured that out. SF 49ers doesn’t even have a chance. Raiders, same story, but with just different characters. How sad. They did so well last week, I thought they would have a fighting chance against Titans.

However, Raiders fans, no fear, Michael Bush will be back and Darren McFadden is showing to be quite promising.
