Day 49: Blogging is hard.

Blogging is harder than you think. Especially when you're busy.

Yes, I have the entire summer off and yes, it should make blogging easier, but tell you the truth, it doesn't. Once people know that you have the summer off, they instantly know that you're free to do two things and two things only: come and visit them or they come and visit you. Sometimes, it get even worse than that. Sometimes, you have friends or family that come unannounced. Those are the time killers!

Go ahead and plan ahead. I dare you. I will tell you from my experience that every since time that I have planned ahead, it always fails. Something unexpected happens. A friend that you have not seen in five years shows up on 16th and Mission and surprise, they want to see you again to get all caught up on what's been happening in the last five years. Then you have your friends. When they see that you're free for the entire summer via Facebook, you get all sort of invitations! The worse part is you don't know which one you want to go or even worse, all the invitations are all on the same days!

Choices, choices, choices.

Then you have family. Yes, we all love our family. They try their best, but fitting your schedule with their schedule can come out quite disastrous!  It's never perfect, but in the end, it's always amazing how when it does become disastrous, that it all eventually works out.

Do I have any advice? Not really, well, sometimes it just might not be best to plan everything...maybe leave some time just to "go with the flow". You never imagine just what might surprise you in the end :-)

  1. My advice as a fellow blogger is be prepared to falter.. everybody does! Don't let those empty days discourage you from blogging again when you are feeling up for it. People like regular updates but they appreciate it when you come back in less time!
